Travel Theme: Bright

I’m just about (in a couple of days, actually) to hop on a plane to go to a much brighter place at this time of the year, so if this theme came next week I’d sure have fresh-from-the-camera pictures to post.

But I’m still here, so I’ll be using some old pictures from previous travels.

Daddy and baby at the beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Sun reflecting at the water, Maui, HI, USA

Bright colored tulip on a bright day, Mount Vernon, WA, USA

Travel Theme: Texture

This week, Ailsa‘s Travel Theme Photo Challenge is Texture.

I love texture and have some need of feeling it. My husband thinks it’s funny that I need to touch everything that has a different texture. And I do need! Otherwise, it’s no fun. 😉

I also try to take pictures of things I think has an interesting texture. Not all pictures turn out good, but sometimes I do get a few nice (or at least ok) ones.

Here are 3 of them that I took when traveling around.

Volcanic rocks, in Central Oregon

Tulip petal, at Skagit Tulip Festival, Mount Vernon,WA

Carved wood sculptures, in Vashon Island, WA
