Sunday Post: City

This week, Jake’s Sunday Post is about City.

So I decided to do a photographic essay on my favorite city in the region I live. The city of Kirkland

Kirkland is a nice little city by Lake Washington

Full of parks

tree-lined streets

Cozy cafes serving delicious coffee,

a marina

little hidden shops

pedestrian crossings with flags that people actually use and drivers actually respect

and bronze statuses spread out throughout the city, including its traditional Cow and Dog statue that is always dressed up for the occasion

My dream house would be a house my the lake in Kirkland. It does not need to be a big house. Even an apartment would do if it has a view ;o)

This post was written in response to Jakesprinter’s Sunday Post: City

Weekly Photo Challenge: Urban

Hard to take very urban pictures whe you spent almost the whole life in the surburbs.
But this weekend I had a 10K race in downtown Seattle.
I usually walk my races, which is cool because it allows me to take pictures. This time around I did a mix of walk and jog, but still could take some pictures of urban Seattle, including some unusual ones, like the one of people jogging on a tunnel that is typically meant for cars…

Here are some of them. Hope you enjoy.
