Photography
These are some pictures I take. I’m not a professional, neither I have a super-camera (I have a couple of point and shot and my phone), but sometimes I decide to try things out with my little cameras and my (itsy bitsy tinny) little photography knowledge.

It’s Fall! And the beauty of fall is due to it’s foliage. But it’s not the same everywhere. Here are pictures of fall foliages on two very different climates. More Washington state fall foliage, here. This post was writen in response to Ailsa’s Travel Theme: Foliage. Read more

Monday evening, as my husband took the kids upstairs for a bath, I started preparing dinner for the family. Then I looked outside and saw a huge fiery sunset. The sun was a big orange/red ball as it set behind the trees cross the street. I could not resist, took my camera and escaped to take… Read more

Human beings are social animals. We need to be always surrounded by people. Sometimes on small gatherings with friends and family, some other times on big events with lots of people you don’t know (maybe just yet) around you. Here are a few pictures of big events with huge gatherings of people: This… Read more

Although we’re still in Summer (barely, actually. Last days!), Fall has been showing its colors for a few weeks now. And I mean literally. Because that’s one of the things Fall (or Autumn, if you wish) is about right? Colors! Colors and fallen leaves. I come from a place where we have only 2 seasons:… Read more

This week, Ailsa‘s Travel Theme Photo Challenge is Texture. I love texture and have some need of feeling it. My husband thinks it’s funny that I need to touch everything that has a different texture. And I do need! Otherwise, it’s no fun. 😉 I also try to take pictures of things I think has an interesting… Read more

In response to F-Stop Fun post http://fstopfun.com/2012/09/08/all-right-mr-demille-im-ready-for-my-close-up-creative-macro-photography-how-two/, I tried to create some colorful macro pictures of CDs, water and light. My setup was not as fancy as his. I used a CD, a fuzzy scarf, water, flashlight app on my Windows Phone as a source of spot light (yeah… lame, but that’s what I had 😉… Read more

This week’s photo challenge is about everyday life. I could go on and on and post thousands of photos, each showing one aspect of our busy lives. But I won’t. I’ll post only 4, which may somehow summarize part of a typical working day. So here they are: This post was created in response to… Read more

Last week and really wanted to take a picture of a flying bird for the free spirit photo challenge. But I either did not have a camera at hand when I saw one, or I did not see one when I had the camera. Today I went to a mall that has nice woven lanterns… Read more

My interpretation of Near and Far today showcases the Grand Canyon, where you’re right there, on top of it, meaning you couldn’t be nearer, but it still stretches so far that you can’t see the end of it. Really Grand! 😉 Read more

When I think of free spirit, I think about flying. But not boring airplane flying, when you don’t really feel you’re flying. It’s more that secret desire I have always had that I could simply move my arms, or maybe run really fast, and start flying away, above the trees and the buildings, and high… Read more

It’s that time of the year when allergic people hate to be outside because of the amount of pollen still in the air. True that a couple months ago, it was worse, but you can still see stuff flying around that would not be very comfortable to the ones who suffer from allergies. Well… I… Read more

Hard to take very urban pictures whe you spent almost the whole life in the surburbs. But this weekend I had a 10K race in downtown Seattle. I usually walk my races, which is cool because it allows me to take pictures. This time around I did a mix of walk and jog, but still could… Read more

Another picture post, this time with berries I photographed in the trail I go for my walks, or parks I go with the kids. The reason why I photograph them is that they are so beautifull. Some are clusters on it’s own (like the blackberries, raspberries, cloudberries, etc…) while some are tiny round fruits that show… Read more

Ok, I know I have already posted photos of Merge, but I just couldn’t resist adding this one. The merge here is real, and the picture was taken as is, with no editing. The wheels are from a cart left on a somewhat historic site, where there used to be a mill several decades ago, and the… Read more
