Photography

These are some pictures I take. I’m not a professional, neither I have a super-camera (I have a couple of point and shot and my phone), but sometimes I decide to try things out with my little cameras and my (itsy bitsy tinny) little photography knowledge.

  • Ok, we get the priorities in this one: But what if we add this little guy here to the equation? Then anyone else just runs???   Talking about running, this one was very properly placed along the route of a half-marathon, with a sofa right behind it for the proposed nap… ;o) This post was written Read more

  • I have recently (July) discovered the One Four Challenge, promoted by Robin, in which we are supposed to take a picture and edit it 4 different ways, posting an edit per week during the month. I participated on July, then August was what she calls Review Month, and there was no challenge. Then I participated Read more

  • Thankful for 8 years

Just out of Thanksgiving, today is my oldest daughter birthday. And she, together with her little sister, are the 2 things I’m the most thankful for in this world. Here’s then a picture from exactly 8 years ago, November 30th 2007. The day that changed my life forever. The day I became a mom! Read more

  • CCY: Diagonal Lines

My first picture for this week’s challenge is one I wasn’t really the one who took, since I’m actually the one pictured on it. It was still with my camera, though… The picture showed a bit more of the structure, but I like how my body lines up with the pole, so I cropped it Read more

  • This is the fourth and last week of the One Four Challenge for November. After last week’s post Nic suggested that I’d try GIMP. I installed it and had a quick look, but I have a confession to make. I did all my 4 edits at once at the beginning of the month and had Read more

  • This is the third week of the One Four Challenge for November. For this week’s edit, I decided to make it look as if the picture was taken at twilight. I must confess I did not do great here, because the dark shadows may give me away, but at least I got more evening colors (or Read more

  • Travel Theme: Faces

Tuesday afternoon, I’m home sick with a bad cold. Took the morning to sleep and was planning to blog on the afternoon. But we have stormy weather today and lights are down. The no breakers are beeping like crazy, which does not help. Yet, I committed to post everyday this month, so doing what I Read more

  • For this week’s challenge, I chose to have a few pictures of horizon and some that are not of a horizon. Amongst those I have a couple that I guess could be included into the Multiple horizons category. For all the edits I’ve made, I used Fotor app on my PC, using the Straighten tool Read more

  • This is the second week of the One Four Challenge for November. Then, for this week’s edit, I decided to make it look more like fall (or maybe end of a hot summer), with more earthy colors. To accomplish that, I tried several different things on both Fotor on the PC and Photo Editor on my phone. But Read more

This week, I’m trying to write a post everyday, since I’m trying to participate on the National Blog Writting Month. Lately all my posts have been either flash fiction written in reponse to writing challenges, or photos posted in response to Photo Challenges. Yesterday I posted a text, so today I’m shooting for a picture. Read more
